NIRAS is a pioneer in engineering of traditional and renewable sources of energy. We are a leading partner in the development of Denmark’s natural gas system and have participated in a multitude of energy projects around the world.

Renewable energy
Renewable energy is a growing part of our business and a strategic focus in our consultancy. Over the past 25 years we have developed leading expertise in several areas, including biogas and biomass, solar energy and offshore wind turbine parks, as well as renewable energy storage.

Our services include load and consumption forecasts, supply strategies, feasibility studies, design procurement, supervision and training. We plan and manage large, complex projects as well as small, locally organised ones.

Besides several projects in Denmark, NIRAS has biogas projects in Korea, China, Holland, USA, Ukraine, Spain and Poland. Our biogas technology is applicable within the agricultural as well the industrial sector. Each plant is customised according to the specifications and demands from the customer.
