A brief history
Deléage was started in 1957 by an electrician, Pierre Emile Deléage. In 1987, with the invention of the Infracable - a cable for an electrical radiant floor heating system, protected by a steel rail - Deléage took the lead on the French floor heating market. This strong position naturally led it, in 2001, to become part of The Devi Group, whose production capacity exceeded 34 million meters of electric cable per year. In 2003, Deléage joined The Danfoss Group, Denmark’s foremost industrial concern, which enabled Deléage to add thermodynamic systems to its product range and propose comprehensive packages: heat pumps + hydraulic floor heating system + regulating equipment.
Deléage moves into renewable energies
Environmental protection has become a worldwide priority and Deléage knows that heating accounts for much of its customers’ energy consumption. That’s why Deléage decided to offer attractive alternatives for residential environmental control (HVAC). Deléage is not only «thinking green» in its product offering, but also in its own workplace. This year, the company won «High Environmental Quality» (HQETM) certification, which means its employees work with equipment that minimizes environmental impact and conserves energy (e.g. systems that recover rainwater, control lighting automatically or use a heat pump to produce hot tapwater).
