BIOMASS - BIOGAS - TRADITIONAL POWER SOURCES-MIXED COMBUSTION-
BIOGAS
Danish farmers have since the 80’ties recognized the advantage of using waste from the agriculture to develop biogas. This has resulted in extensive research in this area in order reduce inconveniences from the waste and instead use it positively as fuel in Biogas plants. Nowadays larger co-generation plants are common, and supplying both heat as well as electricity to the national grid.
BIOMASS & MIXED COMBUSTION SYSTEMS:
Biomass such as straw, wood and household waste has been used as fuel for many years in Danish combined heat and power plants. The technology for utilization have been developed continously and has resulted in systems with a very high degree of energy efficiency both for large power plants as well as in individual or smaller co-generation utilities. |
