About the Future Energies Event

The Danish Embassy – TCD France, held an important event at La Maison du Danemark at Champs Elysées in Paris the 14-15’th of April: FUTURE ENERGIES.

During the event 34 presentations were made by experts in each area, - private companies; government agencies or energy networks and organisations, followed by questions and debates.

The event was a big success, with 241 participating representatives from 122 French and Danish companies, organisations and government officials within the energy sector. (more about the participants here)

 

Some of the presentations:

-Danish Vice cabinet director Jens Bødtcher-Hansen, explained about the Danish energy politics

-Mr. Alexandre Joly, -the French Vice Cabinet Director for M. Borloo (MEDAD- French Ministries for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning) gave a very interesting speech about the role of the new super ministry MEDAD and the future French energy politics.

-M. Jean Louis BAL, the Director of renewable energy at ADEME* (French Environment and Energy Management Agency) and Eric Guignard Vice president of SER (the association of renewable  energy companies in France) presented the present situation in France, and the proposed future plans for reaching the goal of 23%.

-How best to develop and utilise on and offshore wind energy presented by some of the leading manufacturers and operators in this area - VESTAS, DONG ENERGY, A2SEA and DELTA.

-Solar energy was presented by the Danish companies Solarcap, Sonnenkraft and Danfoss Solar Inverters

-Biomas and co-generation solutions were presented by Frank Scholdan Lund from AET (ALBORG ENERGIE TECHNIC) and Axel Jepsen managing director of SEELEN

-Biogas technology was presented NIRAS and XERGI, some of the leading Danish companies in the biogas arena.

-Heating solutions, electrical floor heating, and heat/cooling pumps were presented DANFOSS-DELEAGE.

-Clean mobile solutions were explained by H2Logic and The DANISH TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE.

-Energy efficiency solutions – new ways to save electricity was explained by SCHNEIDER Electric DK-FR.

-Wave energy could be one of the solutions in the future, solutions presented by WAVESTAR ENERGY.

 

-International collaboration and networking in the energy sector was discussed by the Danish association of renewable energy VE-NET and Mr. Jean Claude Andreini president of PEXE and CLUB ADEME INTERNATIONAL.

 

-Mme. Marie Laure Gagne, - Directrice adjoint for the International relations for the city of Lyon, explained about the great Climate plan of Lyon and the associated renewable energy programs.
