Grundfos group, a manufacturer of pumps and pumping systems, is one of the companies having a worldwide leading position in this field. Over 16 million pumps per year are manufactured in the 15 plants of the group.
Around 80 trading companies over all the continents ensure a close local presence and distribution of Grundfos solutions:
Heating circulators, supply pumps, pressure boosting systems, water cleaning pumps, dosing pumps and disinfection systems, pumps for industrial processes.
Research and development is a strategic guideline for Grundfos, over 5% of the turnover being yearly invested in basic and applied research. Product innovations obey a simple rule: it is imperative that any new pump provide an energy saving compared to the previous existing range. Grundfos has committed itself to creating an energy label for heating circulators together with other manufacturers. This label is similar to the one used for domestic appliances. A label A circulator allows saving 60% of energy compared to the traditional label D circulator, used on the current domestic park.
Whether it deals with heating and air conditioning or pumping, Grundfos always caters for a solution optimizing energetic efficiency. Taking into account pressure management, water temperature or other installation parameters, engineers have developed the electronic speed control on pumps and circulators. This technology makes it possible to adjust the pump rotation speed according to the hydraulic needs in Spring or Autumn and, further to this, 40 to 80% energy can be saved. Grundfos has been active on the French market since 1972 thanks to 2 companies:
• A production unit located in the region of Moselle having a production capacity of 13,000 circulators per day.
• A trading company located in the region of Isère in Saint Quentin –Fallavier. |
